I found several instances of Organizing for America floating the phrase "Together We Thrive" as early as 2008.

Have they been floating/trial ballooning campaign slogans?

Slogans don't just magically appear, nor, would one expect an event headlined by the President not to have his blessing or even touch on the theme.

Is this a joke? The first paragraph lists all the things the writer feels have been and are now wrong with the US., then the second paragraph talks about returning to the glory that the US had in it’s past.

Okay - this needs to be forwarded to Krauthammer, Hume, Beck, Jonah Goldberg - and all the other nitwits in the media who acknowledge that the rally atmosphere of the "memorial" was inappropriate but claim Obama had no control over it and is therefore not responsible.

The idea that Obama and his minions had no clue that holding a memorial in a college stadium filled with his loyal devotees and classless college students wouldn't have a rally atmosphere is laughable. Not to mention the fact that the Presidential Seal was all over that venue. How naive can anyone be?

I just did a quick trademark search. It appears that "together we thrive" is owned by a credit union called Coast 360 out of Guam - random, right? Anyways, the trademark application was made in September of last year, from what I can tell.
