There is currently a YouTube Video of Dire Straits doing this song where Mark Knofler changes the wording to “ see the Queenie “ in leiu on the word faggot , found that curious when I went there recently to match the meter used in the song which is slightly faster in the live version than the original studio recording . This Song really got a lot of people watching MTV in the beginning before they went totaly hip hop . Hip Hop is the lack of music IMO .
On their live album, they sing (if I recall correctly) “the little mother’s got his own jet airplane, that mother-trucker he’s a millionaire!”
