Kwisatz Haderach

Completely off topic, and it was many years ago, but did anyone else find the last few books of that series painful? I read them all just to say I'd done it but looking back I should have quit after the first three or so.

The first three Dunes were classic...the last three deteriorated to smarmy...the Brian Herbert versions later are okay in a 20th century military sci-fi kind of way...the first Dune though, magical...magritte
