Thanks for thinking of me. :-) Most of my family was at home though hubby was putting in some Saturday morning work hours. My oldest son and I were at a baseball game along with 9 other baseball fields’ worth of families. (high school aged) It was a surreal morning. Baseball leagues among other things are what make this town seem a lot smaller than it is. Instead of only getting to know the folks from your local little league, you meet people from all the little leagues around town. When you play these same kids year after year or play with them on club teams throughout the year, the size of the town shrinks. When this happened, you could see as people found out via cell phone or from word of mouth. People who we know in law enforcement had already left the baseball fields before the news hit the wires. Then there were the sirens, speeding state police on the interstate, lots of medical helicopters in the sky, etc. that alerted folks to trouble in Tucson.
