Somebody made the Nifong comparison sometime Friday ~ I know I was also describing the sheriff as 'involved" in this in some way Friday afternoon because he was being exceedingly evasive in his response.

You might ask why I am not surprised to find the guy'd been stopped by the cops earlier in the day and I'd answer that I am surprised to find he wasn't apparently given a lift to the hit by the sheriff.
