"I believe that this is the first clear signal we’re getting that Sarah Palin is not going to run for President in 2012"

I saw the exact opposite. The speech was her best to date. She came off extremely well polished. Her words carefully crafted to calm and unify. Clearly she's leaving all options on the table.

You of course are correct.

You are posting to one of a small group of noisy posters that will post anything they think will undermine Sarah Palin.

And by extension the TPM, Conservatism and Free Republic.

I’d hate to think that in my thirty-odd posts I’ve developed a reputation as being “noisy”!

Also, I didn’t criticize Mrs. Palin’s politics or opinions, merely stated my opinion that I believe she’s telegraphed her intention not to run for President. I didn’t say anything about the Tea Party, the Conservative Movement or Free Republic. And, though Mrs. Palin is an integral part of all of those entities, she is not the only option, nor the living embodiment of any of them.

Sarah Palin is a noble, vital woman who has injected energy and honesty into what could have been a moribund right-wing in the post-Bush era. That does not mean she is the end-all and be-all of our movement, and legitimate criticism of her, or her actions is not an attack on Conservatism, Free Republic or America. It is, in fact, the same vigorous and spirited debate she defended in her speech today.
