Heavy rains along the east coat of Queensland for several weeks have filled dams, rivers have broken their banks, numerous towns are flooded, there are some 40 suburbs of Brisbane under water, a freak flash-flood caused by heavy torrential rain tore through the centre of a regional city, Toowoomba, and headed down the range to the small towns below, destroying the town of Grantham in its path, where lives were lost and many - up to 40 - people are still missing.

GRANTHAM FLASH FLOOD SOURCE THERE HAS BEEN NO TSUNAMI IN BRISBANE.

A tsunami|津波| is a series of water waves (called a tsunami wave train) caused by the displacement of a large volume of a body of water. A very large and destructive wave, generally caused by a tremendous disturbance in water flow. And/or: efinition of TSUNAMI : a great sea wave produced especially by submarine earth movement or volcanic eruption : tidal wave
