I did same as you....headed for bird feeders. You can hear them, they do appreciate it :)
Sorry you lost power. That is the worst. I have about the same amounts as what you posted. It's on top of what we already had too. It is a heavy snow to shovel.
All you have to do is think of what it would be like to live outside in this weather and the birds get fed first in The AM. Anyway, I swear they scream at me for seed till I fix them up with it.
I went into the motorhome and had breakfast and coffee while hubby snowblowed the driveway and when the thrown snow hit the windshield it looked and sounded like snowballs.
Glad it's over and power is back because it is a beautiful day today!
