What consumers dont know is that honey doesnt usually come straight or pure from the hive. Giant steel drums of honey bound for grocery store shelves and the food processors that crank out your cereal are in constant flow through the global market. Most honey comes from China, where beekeepers are notorious for keeping their bees healthy with antibiotics banned in North America because they seep into honey and contaminate it; packers there learn to mask the acrid notes of poor quality product by mixing in sugar or corn-based syrups to fake good taste.
None of this is on the label. Rarely will a jar of honey say Made in China. Allergies are so bad here in the sacramento valley. Local honey has been in my families diet and it has been a HUGE help. Local honey is the only way to go.

I’ve only bought local honey. It’s great and my allergist says that, yes, it really does help with allergies. Not as good as shots, but it really does help reduce them.
Mr. mm had horrible allergies when we got married. We moved and improved our diets some and added local wildflower honey and his allergies have improved greatly.
Chinese food products.
When Russian roulette just isn’t deadly enough.

Try to find the source for ALL the things you put into your body (including what you put ON your body like lotions or makeup as they go into your bloodstream too).
Almost every state has a beekeeper’s association or apiary association. They will list several local sources for honey.
Isn’t that the truth?!
Bad enough trying to figure out what’s good for you and what isn’t, only to make sure the “good” food isn’t poisoned crap from China!
