I remember reading this awhile back. I think it was on Pam Geller’s site if memory serves. Is it the same Wheeler? I don’t know much about that case as I was taking a news/computer break all that week. It did seem rather squirrely though from what I did see on Fox News. Any links would be appreciated if you get the time later.

Apparently another John Wheeler...should have been noted when posted.

Speaking of the Apollo group, did you know the Greek word “appollonyi” means “destruction”?

Yes I am aware of that fact. This stinks to high heaven. I watched the video and can tell you from first hand experience that the fire started in he front or under the truck. It appears she put the door up, clicked it into reverses and it blew. Notice the intensity of the fire under the SUV, normally the interior and the plastic in are the hottest burning and first to go. They seem barely touched.

Obama’s Death List reads like Arkancide. However, it’s short a few - Donald Young and L. Quarrels Harris for starters.

A car could be sabotaged to leak gas and run out of control, but even yet one would expect a distress call to have been made from the car (if she carried a cell phone, unless it too was sabotaged).

A car just doesn't explode and not going that slowly. And then she was so incapacitated that she was unable to get out. No, sorry, I'm not buying it.

usually it is the husband in these cases

A guy I used to work for killed his wife, put her and a bicycle into the car, crashed the car into a tree, took out the bike, put her in the driver's seat, set the car on fire, then rode the bike home.

The cops arrested him the same night. He has been in prison ever since.

From that picture, the car wasn’t damaged like an explosion and it looks as if any person who was physically able and with her full senses could have gotten out.

Reminds me of the list that was ciculated by retired FBI agents re the violent deaths and questionable suicides of “friends” of the Clintoons before Clintoon won his first election.

That's because it's a fake, based on those lists of suspicious Clinton deaths we saw in the 1990s.

With all the fake facebook pages people are making now, do we really need to resurrect last years frauds?

Well, this thread is about mysterious deaths of people with political ties -

and John (Jack is a knitname for John) Wheeler - with CIA ties died last week under very mysterious circumstances and his body was dumped in the trash:

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/01/08/earlyshow/saturday/main7225804.shtml

and you post a story written by Jack Wheeler - a different man who has been very busy this week assuring friends and acquaintances that he is still alive. You don't explain that this is NOT the Wheeler who died under suspicious circumstances - the Wheeler YOU posted writes, on his site;

“I had to reassure everyone that:

It's not me. I'm not in a dumpster in a landfill — I'm home in my easy chair ...”

Ditto -

I have grandchildren from 9 to 36 -

and one who grew up in my home has just gotten off his second deployment in AFghanistan...

He and his small unit and what they have done - have made their place in history...and are making America proud of them and ALL our soldiers.

THe documentary on this little handful of Sky Soldiers has shown across the country, aired 3 times now on National Geographic, won many awards and is now on the short list for an Oscar. The DVD is now in stores across the country.
This is making a great impact on people - but most particularly - on young people.

(SSGT Sal Giunta, the recipient of the Medal of Honor, is one of this little platoon)

Watch the trailer - and a great clip on Sal -

Interesting clip.

Our older son is a senior, so now we're hearing about where his classmates are applying to college and their plans after high school. Of his cohort of about 15-20 boys who were in his Cub Scout pack together as youngsters, we have three who are joining the Marine Corps. One is following in his dad's footsteps and not a surprise, but the other two were somewhat unexpected. We've also learned recently that a local youngster from our swim club is leaving college after two years to join the army, fulfilling a long-time dream. His very liberal mother is struggling with the decision, but to her credit is supporting him. Times are changing, and I think among our youth, there are some very positive changes afoot. I see a lot of respect for the decisions these boys are making, which is refreshing after having grown up during the Vietnam war.

“I’m originally from Texas but I was in New Orleans on New Years Day for the Sugar Bowl in 1964 when it snowed......Evidently, it had last snowed in New Orleans sometime in the 18880s.”

I remembered that it also snowed here on February 12, 1958 when I was in grade school. I remember this for several reasons not the least of which is that my father and I made a few sad snowmen on our back patio and my mother took pictures of our finished products. My father died in July of 1958 so I was glad that I had that fun memory of him on that rare snow day.

It took me a while to find a reference to that snow, but I was finally successful. It’s mentioned on the last paragraph.

That’s a good memory of your dad. Here’s a picture someone took on New Years in New Orleans Jan. 1, 1964.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/patpeeve/2260291863/

The Sugar Bowl game that year was not that exciting, Alabama beat Ole Miss, 12-7. Joe Namath had been suspended and did not play for Alabama in the latter part of the ‘63 season or the score might have been higher. What I remember best (although somewhat hazy) was the New Year’s Eve on Bourbon St. A lot of good music and more drunks than I ever seen before or since. :)
