All of us at The Heritage Foundation were profoundly saddened by the tragedy that occurred this past Saturday morning in Tucson, Arizona. We mourn all of those who lost their lives and are praying for a full recovery by all of the surviving victims. As Speaker John Boehner said Saturday, An attack on one who serves is an attack on all who serve.
Unfortunately, some have chosen to use this tragedy for political gain. Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik, the Democrat who refused to enforce SB 1070, told FOX News Megyn Kelly this weekend that the shooting was caused by an atmosphere created when one party trying to block the attempts of another party to make this country better. In case there is any doubt in your mind who Sheriff Dupnik was talking about, one veteran Democratic operative, who, like Sheriff Dupnik, blamed overheated rhetoric for the shooting, told Politico that President Barack Obama should deftly pin this on the tea partiers.

The Sheriff needs to resign or STFU!
I believe the sheriff is also undermining the case against Jared Loughner. The sheriff continues to go on television and talk about what a lunatic Loughner was, and how all this right-wing rhetoric could have influenced Loughner to do what he did. It seems to me that he is making Loughner’s defense case for him, on national television.
This little bastar@ of a piece officer is a piece of garbage. He is a very sick man and should not be allowed as an officer of law. He disrespects his State law that he is sworn to uphold and is a slanderous piece of liberal garbage.
Looking through blog headlines I saw:
“Calling for civility while accusing your opponents of murder”
lol. That is exactly what is happening.
Also fmr Senator Bob Kerrey says the guy was upset about the possible repeal of ObamaCare... which makes even less sense because she favored ObamaCare from what I hear.
morons.

I’m always amazed at the balls of these people. If you’re in the opposition party you’re not supposed to attempt to block the party in power. Unless the party in power is CONSERVATIVE. I guess this idiot old man (who should be the poster child for forced retirement of elected officicals at age 65) thinks the party in the minority should go home until the next election.
Clarence is an old Democrat. Blaming the other side is reflexive with him.
That’s true. Some people will resort to all kinds of lies if they think there are no consequences.
