Gunmans Former College Instructor: I Was Afraid for My Life
January 10, 2011 at 7:37am by Scott Baker
I wasnt too surprised that it was Jerry Loughner. I felt like he was planning something all along I just didnt know when he was going to do it and where he was going to do it. Just from what the other students said, and what I experienced in the classroom, I just thank God he did not do anything to us. It is very sad to hear what happened yesterday.
Well its just too bad he didn’t call the Feds....
Just like Hasan. Everyone KNEW what was coming.
Everyone SUPPORTED what was coming by their silence.
Where are his parents and what kind of help did they try to get him?
Before Jimmah Carter released the insane from asylums, society was safer. Now, it is their right to make sane people cower in fear. Credit should be given to the Pimo Co. Community College staff, who actually took action to protect their students from this occult-worshiping crazy by barring him from their campus.
For anyone who happens to be actively researching insane mass murderer Jared Lee Loughner --- apparently he was known to his college profs as, "Jerry."
Want to bring this to your immediate attention for any google searches you are conducting that MAYBE Jared used this nickname somewhere online.
While the Miami Herald AP story explains it quite clearly.
[Excerpt]...........Loughners alienation from his friends was gradual.
The Loughner they met when he was a freshman at Mountain View High School may have been socially awkward, but he was generally happy and fun to be around. The crew smoked marijuana every day, and when they werent going to concerts or watching movies they talked about the meaning of life and dabbled in conspiracy theories.
For a time, Loughner drank heavily, to the point of poisoning himself, the friends said. Once, during school lunch break as a junior, he downed so much tequila that he came back to class, within five minutes passed out cold, had to be rushed to the hospital and almost died, one friend said.
Mistrust of government was Loughners defining conviction, the friends said. He believed the U.S. government was behind 9/11, and worried that governments were maneuvering to create a unified monetary system (a New World Order currency one friend said) so that social elites and bureaucrats could control the rest of the world.
On his YouTube page, he listed among his favorite books Animal Farm and Brave New World - two novels about how authorities control the masses. Other books in the wide-ranging list included Mein Kampf, The Communist Manifesto, Peter Pan and Aesops Fables.
Over time, Loughner became increasingly introspective - what one of the friends described as a nihilistic rut.
An ardent atheist, he began to characterize people as sheep whose free will was being sapped by the government and the monotony of modern life.
He didnt want people to wake up and do the same thing every day. He wanted more chaos, he wanted less regularity, one friend said.
The friends said Loughner told anyone who would listen that the world we see does not exist, that words have no meaning - and that the only way to derive meaning was during sleep. Loughner began obsessing about a practice called lucid dreaming, in which people try to actively control their sleeping world.
Several people who knew Loughner at community college said he did not engage in political discussions - in fact, he didnt talk much at all, and when he did classmates cringed.
He made a lot of the people really uncomfortable, especially the girls in the class, said Steven Cates, who attended an advanced poetry writing class with Loughner at Pima Community College last spring. Though he struck up a passing friendship with Loughner, he said a group of other students went to the teacher to complain about Loughner at one point.
Another poetry student, Don Coorough, said Loughner read a poem about bland tasks such as showering, going to the gym and riding the bus in wild poetry slam style - grabbing his crotch and jumping around the room.
When other students, always seated, read their poems, Coorough said Loughner would laugh at things that you wouldnt laugh at. After one woman read a poem about abortion, he was turning all shades of red and laughing, and said, Wow, shes just like a terrorist, she killed a baby, Coorough said.
He appeared to be to me an emotional cripple or an emotional child, Coorough said. He lacked compassion, he lacked understanding and he lacked an ability to connect.
Cates said Loughner didnt have the social intelligence, but he definitely had the academic intelligence.
He was very into the knowledge aspect of school. He was really into his philosophy classes and he was really into logic and English. And he would get frustrated by the dumbed-down words people used in class, Cates said.
Loughner expressed his interest in grammar and logic on the Internet as he made bizarre claims - such as that the Mars rover and the space shuttle missions were faked.
He frequently used if-then constructions in making nonsensical arguments. For instance: If the living space is able to maintain the crews life at a temperature of -454F then the human body is alive in the NASA Space Shuttle. The human body isnt alive in the NASA Space Shuttle. Thus, the living space isnt able to maintain the crews life at a temperature of -454F. [End Excerpt]

This animal is a poster boy for the death penalty and swift justice.
Parents seem approximately as weird as Jared. NY Times also came up with the website where he apparently was getting his strange grammar and currency ideas.
Say WHAT??????????????? Hell, you could have picked up the phone a million times you socialist dupe! My advice???? Get a LAWYER! You’ll be needing one! And if he’s smart he’ll tell you to STFU Stupid!
I have a friend who’s kid is in classes at a state U with a similar “personality” type. The guy goes on rants, intimidates other students...and the University does nothing. If a complaint has to be lodged, it has to be lodged by the student he’s intimidating...and the student’s being intimidated (and the profs for that matter) are afraid of retribution by the guy should he “go off the deep end.” In fact the U warns them that if they lodge a complaint this guy will know who filed it.
Sad but true, and the definition of harrassment at this particular state instutition only lists direct contact as harrassment...verbal diatribes cannot be counted.
I assume the parents were killed in a car crash on the way home from the hospital and only this moron survived!!! How the hell do you explain knowing this cretin as your SON ALL THESE YEARS and not having ANY idea that he WAS INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!! The parents should be locked up immediately! Lawsuit,...here I come!
Great reporting. Now we need someone to find out about his parents. Who are they, why haven’t they been interviewed or the associates of them been interviewed? How was his mother able to get the charges dropped against him? If the sherrif hadn’t dropped the charges, would he have been able to legally purchase a gun?
oops “whose” instead of who’s...also wanted to add that as far as calling the Feds, weren’t the authorities alerted to the underwear bomber by his dad?
Interesting. Made me think immediately of the movie "Sphere" and the malevolent force "Jerry" "I make a journey. You make a journey. We make a journey together.""I WILL KILL YOU!"...
Rush should read the Miami Herald’s story on the air today. People need to hear these facts instead of CNN’s Left-wing spin of this tragedy.
What’s their story? I haven’t heard anything about them. All I’m hearing is the lame media attacking free speech and the tea party while conservative media plays defense trying to hold them back. This man had a family and I’m curious to know why they aren’t being held accountable.
Other students avoided him to the point that they all sat on one side of the classroom, an he sat alone on the other. He would talk to himself, draw during class and engage in random, nonsensical, non-topical outbursts. Students complained to their advisers, I spoke to endless department heads and Deans....nothing. Finally, he sat in class and threatened to commit suicide and take people with him.
I called security and had him escorted out -- and I still was summoned to a disciplinary meeting because they felt my actions were discriminatory.
I still think this kid will go off one day.
...”Just like Hasan. Everyone KNEW what was coming.
Everyone SUPPORTED what was coming by their silence”..
We are seeing Political Correctness bear it’s rotten fruit.
That is the case at the state university where I teach. Some years ago, a student from Saudi Arabia was angry that he failed two courses, one of them mine. The student said that he wanted me and one of my colleagues killed. The department secretary was alarmed enough that she contacted the university administration.
The response from the upper administration was tepid. They were sure the student did not really mean what he had said; he was just upset. They promised to "do something" if he repeated his threats. That was it.
I went out and purchased a concealable handgun, which I carried with me until that student graduated and returned to Saudi Arabia.
