It sure was obvious why he was incensed about the house being built across the street. If the street is ever widened (doubt it will be) the extra footage would have to be from Wheeler's side of the street. His riverview is now light yellow siding.
His street is one-way south/east? from the center of town except the block where his house is is two-way (to allow you back to the cross street after you drive to the dead-end at the river and have to turn around). I can imagine it being very desolate at night. I would also think very quiet.
Would Wheeler have been involved with Mt. Weather???

Fast forward to events leading up to Dec 2011. Arrest Warrant. He was an evil man who did not just snap. He planned.
This is where I am conflicted.
One one hand it makes sense. Given what little I know, I could write several scenarios which ended in Jack’s murder. They would all make sense. Was it planned? Was it a crime of opportunity? Did he try to borrow money from Jack? Did Jack refuse and did Levene snap? Was it staged to make it look like Jack snapped (smoke bomb & phone at the Marini house)? That would make sense if Levene knew about the issues between the Marinis the Wheelers.
On the other hand……it makes too much sense. The story about Levene, the murders and his death were already out there. But suddenly an article appears which tries to connect Jack and Levene without offering any evidence other than a common county of residence.
There is not much to be found about Levene on the web. The only background info I have found is what he posted regarding his Army Career. Who knows how embellished it is?
I am not sure what to think.
