It does seem to explain much of the 'concerted effort' that the Sheriff, the Media, and Politicians are making to assign the blame before gathering the facts.

You're right, and they also seem to see this as possibly a desperate chance to make political hay that might work against their enemies. After the last election, they certainly know that revived conservatives, the Tea Party, and Sarah Palin are a threat to their socialist agenda. They will have no aversion to standing on their own bodies, murdered by their own members, instigated by their own lunatic rhetoric, if that will work. The majority of the democrat party has come completely off the hinges, and has become something evil and dangerous to know.

Facing failure will only inject steroids into their lunatic workout regemin. The devil's spawn has risen to the top, and they will not go quietly away.
