Something has been bothering me about the shooter since last night.
First, I understand that he used a Glock 19. A Glock 19 is a 9MM which comes standard with a 15 round magazine. You can get aftermarket adapters to make the standard magazine hold 17 rounds. You can also get aftermarket magazines in 30 round and 40 round capacities, but they are bulky and stick far out from the bottom of the hand grips of the gun. Even though he was at close range, it is still damn hard to hit and kill so many people when they are scared as hell and trying to get away. Particularly if you do not have much experience shooting firearms, and have never shot at people before. It was reported that he just bought this gun on November 30.
An Army Vet Witness said that the shooter fired fifteen or seventeen times and that he controlled the gun very well.
Considering the number of people he shot and the number of people killed he must have been well practiced using the Glock 19. He would have to be emotionally detached to stay focused on what he was doing - which would fit into the schizophrenia. He would had to have reloaded.
All I am saying is that regardless of how close he was, it is very unusual to have so many well placed shots from only 15 or 17 rounds.
Valid points. Also the supposed 50 year old accomplice’s
photo not being released because there was a man hunt? they knew where he was? and now this morning his pic is posted?
Apparently the victims were penned into a confined area - since this was by a grocery store, they might well have been forced into one of those alcoves where the carts are kept, or other similar kind of area.
If you consider the location, the persons were almost penned into an alcove by pillars and card tables.
