Well, thats awkward.
News that Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann is considering a presidential bid has not only sparked a mini media frenzy, but its rained on the parade of her home state colleague, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty.
On the eve of the release of Pawlentys memoir, Courage to Stand the subject of an upcoming media blitz that has the all but announced a White House candidate booked on a number of national shows including Good Morning America, The View and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart the Bachmann trial balloon has the GOP governor and his backers gamely insisting that its no big deal at a time when they expected to be reveling in warm publicity surrounding the book rollout.

Learning to read might help.
A statewide elected Goper from MN sounds like a statewide elected GOPer from MA (cough, cough ***********Milt************ cough, cough).
Don’t you have some NOW meeting tonight to attend?
No, but I have to go to bed. Can you keep me posted with your pronouncements about this, and other books you haven’t read? Thanks in advance.
Tim who?
TPaw is too groomed and he would bore the socks off of voters.
He reminds me of a Bob Dole type.
I don’t buy politicians books, but his won’t be much of a big seller.
Amazing how vain these folks are. 1/2 term governors and 1/2 term senators with 2 books about themselves each.
Pawlenty’s only accomplishment thus far has been somehow getting the rumor started that he has potential to be a candidate. He doesn’t.
I’m not sure anyone outside his family bought the rumor.
I don’t want either one to run.
It could be alot worse. Huck and Mitt and TPaw could run instead.
That is why I don’t buy books of politician’s who are wanting to run for office. I get tired of this “buy their book and you will understand them”. If they aren’t willing to get out there and be 100% clear where they stand on issues without me having to buy a book, I am not interested.
Most have ghost writers, so that doesn’t impress me either.
That said, I will buy a book from a politician who has served and is no longer running for anything, if that person is interesting.
I heard Clinton’s tome was boring as hell.
I got two copies of GWB’s book for Christmas. I’ll put them in the stack. Should get to reading it in about 2020
I’m glad you didn’t offer to send me one. LOL
Mr.Pawlenty bought a new suit and visited the barbershop when he was told by old John McCain’s handlers that he had the vice-president slot all sewed up.
So sad, poor Mr. Pawlenty, Mrs McCain forced old John to sign up with Sarah and life on this planet has never been the same.
And now once again, to be beat around the head and ears by what? Another strong, fine looking woman. What the hell is going on?
LOL. Well, I like GWB. It’s just a bit too raw and too soon to hear him argue for amnesty again.
LOL! I so agree. This guy has had a few years to make a name for himself, but he’s just another ‘also ran’ without any charisma or recognition. I couldn’t pick him out of a police line-up to save my life.
Why does he think he can run for President?
or compassionate conservatism.
Besides, I have a good collection of Archie & Jughead comic books in the closet I haven’t read yet.
