Gabrielle Giffords (June 8, 1970 - January 8 2011) was the U.S. Representative for Arizona's 8th congressional district. She is a member of the Democratic Party.

Congresswoman Giffords was shot in the head while at a public event in Tucson, Arizona grocery store on January 8, 2010.

She is the only member of the U.S. Congress whose spouse, astronaut Mark E. Kelly, is an active duty member of the U.S. military.[1]

Giffords is known as a strong proponent of solar energy as well as for her work to secure the border with Mexico.

Thoughts and prayers for Rep. Giffords and her staff. Unfortunately, the MSM and lefty pols will use this as a call to re-examine the less than restrictive gun laws in AZ. It would be an added bonus to the left if the shooter were somehow linked to the tea party. If the shooter ends up being a left wing nutjob, the story will be buried.

Gunman’s name will not be released if they are “undocumented” or one of those criminals, I mean terrorists. If gunman’s a typical American, the name will be released asap. If it was a hit, we may never know the i.d. and gunman will end up in witness protection program. Seriesly. Giffords is married to an ASTRONAUT. This is really bad.

It won’t be. TPMers have SELF CONTROL. They are angry but they have RESEPCT for the rule of law and this wouldn’t be right.

As for feeling bad for a baby killing adovcate and other vile things ... one less doesn’t upset me. If I had lived during HItler’s time, I would also not be upset when he took his own life. I just can’t FEEL BAD for vile people. I won’t physically harm them but again, I don’t FEEL BAD for vile people when BAD things happen to them.
