PITTSBURGH -- A hearing was held Thursday in federal court for a Harrison Township man who the FBI said posted extremist views online under an alias and bit two agents while in possession of a loaded gun.
Channel 4 Action News' Sheldon Ingram reported that the FBI laid out Emerson Begolly's profile in court, and they want to know if he's a dangerous sympathizer for Islamic extremists or someone in need of psychiatric care.
Ingram reported that Begolly, of the Natrona Heights area, was a student at Penn State New Kensington but left school. Penn State officials said he had been taking online classes but was later suspended and is not an active student.
Ingram reported that the FBI introduced the following details in court Thursday:
Begolly's father took photos of him dressed as a Nazi officer as a child. Begolly's mother said that his father introduced the boy to Nazi beliefs when he was 11. Begolly owns an AK-47. Begolly's mother and 19-year-old brother said that Begolly wants to die violently as a martyr and take others with him. Begolly's mother said he was diagnosed at age 6 with Aspberger's Syndrome. Begolly's mother recently tried to have him admitted into Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic.
Begolly, 21, was arrested Tuesday by two FBI agents in New Bethlehem, Clarion County. The agents wanted to talk with him and serve two search warrants, as they were conducting an unspecified investigation, according to the criminal complaint.

Is freedom of speech dead? Is the FBI going to round up all the liberal freaks yapping about killing Bush??? I think the FBI needs to utilize their time better.
LOL, not sure what to make of the later half of that sentence. Is it esp unlawful to bite a federal employee when they’re armed or was he armed but decided to bite rather than shoot? LOL, Im confused.
Maybe it is just poor reporting but I do not see the the FBI identified themselves before trying to enter his car. If they did not he should walk because he is just protecting himself. He sounds like scum but he still has rights.
He was armed, he bite because when he reach for his weapon the grabbed him.
