I will still predict that the next President will be a WHITE MALE!
Electing the first black president was to a certain extent an experiment by voters to try something different and we all know how this is working. And since all minorities and women, no matter how good their qualifications, are lumped into the something different category, they do not stand a chance at getting the nomination, much less elected. After four years of Obama the electorate will go back to the comfort zone of white male.

I suspect you are correct.
This is no reflection on Palin; it’s simply that many voters will be reluctant to try another experiment so soon.
Fortunately, Palin is still quite young (for a Presidential candidate), so she may still get a shot at it in later years.
