...snip...

At the local level, The Boston Herald reports here that health care costs are driving cities and towns to go into the municipal equivalent of credit card debt.

In the most recent example, Gov. Deval Patrick is weighing a proposal to permit Orange, a western Massachusetts town of fewer than 8,000 residents, to borrow $445,000 to cover health care claims and pay it back over the next five years

I think this is a good reminder for those that think repealing obamacare will cost money.

Social Security and Medicare are already bankrupting us.

How can you add an entitlement w/o costing something?

Accounting games w/the deficit are a distraction from the reality of the out of control spending.

If Romney didn't have that brain fart about 'reforming' health care in Massachusetts he would be odds on favorite for the Republican nomination.

Now his candidacy is going to collide with the Obamacare backlash.

I wish I were in charge of healthcare. I have only been to a medical doctor twice in the last 20 years. One was for an insurance physical, which I passed with flying colors, the other was pink eye.

If I had known it was pink eye, I wouldn't have had to go to the doctor then.

BUT neither my husband nor I go to doctors, we take no medications. We are far healthier than ANY of our friends, even younger ones. They all take some kind of drugs.

Will I go to a doctor under the right circumstances? Sure, but I will never go for any kind of chonic condition as I cured my own RA nutritionally after following the disastrous course prescribed by a medical doctor.

Vit D, Vit C, and castor oil, peroxide, soda and olive oil work miracles.

My cousin's wife just died after suffering for 6 months from the establishment's torturing her treating her cancer with chemo and surgery. No, thanks, I'm going to die someday anyway and I'm not taking their chemo.

The full article concerns the impact of both obama care and romney care, hence the title of the article -
...local,state,national...

Hence, I made up “obomney care” because I thought it was funny, and robama care didn’t sound as good to my ears.

Yes, but I’m sure others have thought of it too.

To quote one of my best friends who works in the health care industry, “If you think health care is expensive now, wait until it’s free!”

Agreed. My biggest beef w/Romney was RomneyCare, even before ObabmaCare came out. I did not vote for him in the prior primary and would not vote for him in the next primary.

My insurance premium hasn’t budged until yesterday, went up 25% from $40 to $50/week.

I can’t afford that.

As the debt tidal wave washes ashore...by necessity the elderly, infirm and disabled will in all probability bear the brunt. There simply IS NO MONEY

From Face Book

http://www.merlinaisfedup.com

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is fining its hard working residents that are unable to afford healthcare. In 2009 they fined me $2,000 because my wife and I were unable to provide ourselves with a healthcare plan that they deem affordable to me.

This page is dedicated to my lawsuit against them. I’ve been headlined in the Boston Herald, interviewed on the radio with Howie Carr, and did a television interview on NECN.

I’m standing up for myself here, and I’m hoping all of the other people who feel that this is an outrage will do the same.
