all not well in liberalland?
down in a place like georgia the red necks would have had too much sense to set up a dangerous situation like this, where a gun on auto gets out of control of an operator not strong enough to keep its aim from going wild.

I am very pro-gun but giving an 8 year old a machine gun to fire is beyond irresponsible both for the parent and the event organizer. Now when I was little my father may have done this with him supporting me and helping to hold/point the weapon downrange. Probable this would be considered irresponsible today, but to me that makes much more sense.

Yes this very sad but I don't think it is man slaughter. The person allowing the kid to shoot the subgun should have had better control.
My son was 8 when he shot his first subgun a HK MP5 but I was right next to him hands on making sure he didn't lose control. The first couple were seimi-auto the first couple bursts were with, only 3 rounds in the mag. He walked away with a huge grin on his face.
I wonder how much the boys father had to do with it getting his son on video shooting it by himself.
Sometimes bad things happen we have become why to fast too charge people with a crime just because some one dies.
