Pawlenty on a Bachmann presidential run: “It’s a free country”
Star Tribune ^ | 1/6/11 | Jeremy Herbs

Former Gov. Tim Pawlenty — who has not yet declared he’s running for president but is taking all the requisite steps — said Thursday that “it’s a free country” if Rep. Michele Bachmann wants to run for the White House.

In an interview with Politics Daily, Pawlenty said that he has respect for Bachmann, but he did not endorse the idea of a second Minnesota Republican getting into the presidential ring:

"Well, it's a free country. Anyone can run that's over the age of 35. I have respect for Michele Bachmann. I've had a cordial and positive relationship with her.”

Tim, just run as the Democrat and you won’t have to worry about Michele making you look bad in the primary.

Michele and Sarah have become America's poster babes....

But how about Tim's wife/judge Mary?

I haven’t found one thing that I disagree with Rep. Bachmann on.

“So, where does she stand on other issues?

Here in their entirety are the video and transcript of CNSNews.com’s “Online With Terry Jeffrey” interview with Bachmann, which was originally published on Dec. 3, 2010. In the interview, Bachmann discussed her views on the national debt, Social Security and Medicare reform, Obamacare, the president’s policy “czars,” the right to life, Planned Parenthood, securing the U.S.-Mexico border and other issues.”

I absolutely love Michele Bachmann, and would do whatever I could to help her do whatever she wants to do.

However, I received a call from her fundraisers today, and I’ve never had such a hard sell in my life. It really turned me off, and I’m going to ask them not to call me again. I’ll go to her website and donate when I can, but I’m not going to be bullied into donating to anybody.

I’ve gotten those calls too, sometimes I donate, sometimes I don’t have cash to spare. She is the one person I will tolerate this from, cause living in her district and having volunteered for her, I know what she’s up against. She always needs a large sum of cash to defend her district and to me, it’s well worth the investment if you can afford it.

As for her running for POTUS, I may be a bit biased, but I actually think she’s better qualified than Palin. She is a tax attorney and knows finance issues inside and out. Coupled with that she’s a born-again Christian conservative solidly pro-life pro-family.

As MN state senator, she pushed to have a marriage amendment on the ballot in 2006. It lost then cause the Dems controlled the Senate. It may pass this time around.

There’s no doubt, if you’re a Christian conservative tea party person, she is the perfect candidate.

I don’t have one little problem with Michele...she is, IMO, one of the best of the best out there today. I wasn’t criticizing her...just the fundraising team that she hired. They were extremely aggressive, and I don’t like that one bit.

I am a Christian TEA Party person, and I will support her as long as she needs that support. But, I won’t put up with someone trying to strong arm me into donating money, especially in the amounts they were asking.

Too, I have an unlisted number, and am on the Do Not Call list. I guess that was a scam, too.

Having been through your postings, you remind me of somebody.

NO, I have never registered before, and NO, I've received many freepmails asking if I am someone from a different site. NO, I am not. And I have NO idea why freepers continue to state such remarks -- perhaps I should permanently quit posting here, like just what am I suppose to say to a remark such as yours, although I mostly get those remarks privately????

Just WHAT does your question have to do with the thread?

Just what am I supposed to say in reply??????

IF the reply "Oh, dear...." is above the comprehension of freepers, that's it -- I am OUT of here.

Good by.

Over react much? Sheesh! I thought you reminded me of a poster from the past, not that there’s anything wrong with that.

“Just what am I supposed to say in reply??????”

How about, “I don’t know.”?

I’m sorry you’ve been questioned before, but that had nothing to do with my question. You reminded me of someone, is all...and if it was so important, maybe I would have frmailed you instead.
