(CNSNews.com) -- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said Thursday that the “misguided" House Republicans “have to understand that the health care bill is not going to be repealed” and that they “should get a new lease on life and talk about something else.”
Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) has suggested that every appropriations bill the Republican-majority House passes this year should include language that specifically prohibits any funding for implementation of the health-care legislation President Barack Obama signed last year.
CNSNews.com asked Reid if he would shut down the government to save the health care law if in fact the House sent the Senate appropriations bills that prohibited funding for implementation of it.
Reid did not directly answer the question about whether he would shut down the government rather than having the Senate approve appropriations bills that prohibted funding of Obamacare. However, he did say: “The Republicans have to understand that the health care bill is not going to be repealed. News commentators, not editorial writers, not pundits, the people who report the news recognize it’s not going to be repealed. I’ve mentioned just a few of the things that we have going now with the new health care bill. It’s really good for the American people.”

Once defunding is proposed in the budget and if the Government shuts down because the Senate Rats reject it then the shut down is on the Rats.
If Obamacare is not repealed, the United States will go bankrupt. History will remember, Harry Reid, history will remember.
Dingy Harry has to understand whether or not his chamber takes up the repeal bill, the fact of the matter is Obamacare will not receive a single dollar of appropriations. It simply won’t be funded.
And if he wants to be the one to shut down the government to save a law the American people hate, I have no problem with it.
