Why would he say that though? He could have dodged the question or said, 'she hasn't said she's running so there's nothing to support right now'. Perhaps he's like a lot of people who agree with Palin on the issues, like her but don't think she's ready to be president.

I don’t believe in going into panic mode a whole year before the campaign even begins. If Sarah becomes the nominee, it’ll be because she earned it. I doubt she is losing sleep over these comments.
