Though I personally have some questions about Obama’s eligibility, nobody has produced conclusive proof of his ineligibility.

Don't you think that you just might have the process .. backwards?
No One has vetted the guy thus .. No One has produced conclusive proof of his eligibility!

I'm just guessing here but I have to ASS-ume that before you can run for the highest office in the nation .. You have to Prove that you are actually a Citizen of that Nation?

Given that Obama is president, Birthers must now prove his INELIGIBILITY for office to have him removed from office. So, I don't have anything backwards.

Until the election of Obama, I certainly ASSUMED there were some eligibility checks. Now, I question that assumption. Could it be that all those red state election officials failed to check Obama’s eligibility in 2008? My GUESS is: Yes!

Seems to me that concerned citizens should INSIST that ALL candidates on ALL ballots should have their eligibility verified & publicly revealed. This process should occur at the STATE level, by state officials.

It could still occur, in every state, prior to the 2012 elections. Only the people can make this happen as the pols (including the judges) will never “rock the boat” on their own.

Pubs made big gains in State legislatures & governorships. Perhaps these gains could translate into tougher scrutiny of Presidential candidates in 2012 & beyond.

If Obama is ineligible to hold the Presidency, then it is obvious that most of Washington, Left & Right, has concluded that removing Obama from office costs way more than it is worth. The acts of Obama as President cannot be repealed or nullified. Our troop deployments cannot be made invalid, as an example. Nullifying a presidential election & the votes of the majority is potential chaos & political suicide. And the reward: Joe Biden as President. Not nearly worth it.
