Well thanks for the clarification.

I take it as highly complimentary to the Amish. The irony being deployed is that the culture of those honest, industrious, family-oriented, hard-working people is the exact opposite of that which spawns these habitually thuggish criminals.

You're right - the Amish in no way should be associated with this kind of savage, amoral behavior, even in jest. We should speak plainly about the pervasive criminal culture in the black American community so that we may get closer to actually doing something about it.

I no longer care about whether I "should be better than that". That is the great tragedy of how relations are going right now. Those who depended on the good will of the majority will find out Real Soon Now that the good will from the MLK days is just about all evaporated.
