Former Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava, a Republican, has been appointed to a medium-level position in the Cuomo administration.
Scozzafava, who supported Andrew Cuomo in his run for Governor -- and a second Democrat, a Congressional candidate, two years ago -- has been appointed the deputy secretary for local government, a job at the Department of State. No word on what her salary is.

She is one of the major reasons why I do NOT identify myself as a Republican these days.
