Senator McCain, there is nothing wrong with our immigration system. There is everything wrong with those who decide that it's much easier to hop a fence than fill out paperwork and wait their turn.

These are the same who turned their noses up at the last two amnesties, and their extensions. They do not want a path to citizenship and the tax shackles that come with it. Nor do they wish to set aside their Mexican, Brazilian, etc national flags to take up ours.

You can not, in any way, make it any easier, because your efforts are completely wasted. The vast majority of illegal aliens have an anchor baby, cousin, uncle, sister, father to use as a fast track to citizenship, and they don't want to use them.

What gives you the slightest indication, aside from know nothing ‘latino’ activists who would much rather see a great part of this nation be turned into Azlan than their ‘people’ be forced to become Americans, that there is any need for this so called reform? Yes, that's right, for mythical votes from presently illegal aliens. And there, again, you're wrong, as nothing stops them from voting today in most states.

We need to do as every other nation in North or South America does, actually enforce our immigration laws, and stop rewarding line jumpers. You will never buy votes with amnesty, only cost yourself the votes of those who are tired of rewarding criminal behavior, and the votes of immigrants who are sick and tired of the blight upon their communities.

Exactly. Enforcement (rather, the lack of it) is the problem.
