That reminds me. I heard on the news that Tax Day was being put off from April 15th to the following Monday (I think) - as the 15th will be a holiday in recognition of, wait for it.....The Emancipation Act. I saw that on the news and had to laugh.

The following is from some tax website. I tried to search FR for an article on this.:

*The traditional tax return filing deadline is April 15 of each year, but the IRS has approved April 18, 2011 as the tax filing deadline for 2010 Tax Returns and extension requests in observation of Emancipation Day in the District of Columbia.
