That obedience thing always got me. Besides, feigned obedience is how those trapped 60% of apostates and inactives conduct themselves. Passive and subdued but not obedient.
Me? I cannot erase my past or my heritage. However, I can think of nothing so distasteful and ugly as to go along to get along when deep inside I know and have known for fifty years that is is all a crock of offal.
And I praise that certain higher power for sending us Al Gore and the internet as it has helped millions of doubters learn the truth in a quiet and private way.
I am just proud that all my kids and DW "got it" early on and all have left the church. My son was determined to prove to me that I was wrong, so he went to BYU and also on a mission. It only took him a short time to figure it all out. Now he asks me why I didn't tell him.
