I think you discovered the bogus posting over there, laughed at their sick and pathetic attempts to slander some of us, and pointed it out to metmom while teasing her about “her” posts.
I don’t believe you posted it or had anything to do with it.
I don’t know you at all BD, but I know metmom and onyx and I hope everyone takes a deep breath and thinks about this:

If you go into the link posted in post 99, there’s an article from Greg West. At the bottom of the article is a comments section with comments that have been allegedly posted by various FReepers.
Not every one I pinged is represented in those posts, but they have the potential to be, so if you become aware of weird posts out in the internet which are using your screen name, it is likely a set up to try to get you banned.
Especially if someone pings JR to points it out to him as an example of what you’ve been doing when FR is down.
I can't figure out why they went relatively easy on the Colofornian and myself with their posts under our names.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see that West himself is actively posting under another FR account. Heaven knows, there have been quite a few mormons using that tactic.
I think I will archive Wests FR articles to use as reminders when folks jump into the mormon threads telling us how wonderful mormons are.

I wasn’t really worried, although taken aback at first. But it was so obvious that it was clear immediately what was going on.
I’m registered at altfreerepublic as *metmom* as well, and that is the only other website I’m on.
I did a google search on my screen name once and found links to other comments made by a *metmom* but it’s not surprising that someone who is a Mets fan would choose that name, or that it could designate some other kind of *met*fillintheblank.
However, I wanted people to be aware of what was out there representing (allegedly) them.
Sorry, but when someone I don’t know pings JR with a link to an article that contains posts of that nature that I allegedly said and asks what I’ve been doing while FR was down, it does not lend itself to humor, no matter what old, lame joke someone claims to have been making.
Why this thread? Why just me? Why ping JR? Why not point out what everyone else who was misrepresented by those posts said as well? Why not just ping JR and let him know how HE’S being portrayed? I didn’t have to be dragged into it out of the blue on a thread that is totally irrelevant to Mormons and Mormonism.
It smells too much like a set up from someone who I don’t know.
Maybe this will help put some things in perspective, maybe not.
The vitriolic comments many have rec’d over the past couple of years regarding their opposition to mormonISM may be the cause behind the reception your “joke” is receiving.
Those who post against mormonISM have been on the receiving end of some pretty nasty comments and it looks like they’re quite sensitive to the topic or any perceived continuation of such, especially from a FReeper.
The fact that folks on that crybaby’s website find it necessary to spoof FReeper names and post nasty comments in a puerile attempt to smear them is unfortunate, yet totally expected.
I have never participated in an anti-Mormon thread, so I remain perplexed why my screen name appears on that site. I’m also not on the homosexual watch ping list. I can only think that the poster is that non-sequiter troll who was recently banned. That’s my best guess since he was very maaaad and I posted about him on that long ZOT thread.
I don't think so. The irritating thing about Fred, (fproy) was that he just kept posting the same dumb things one after another and demanding answers to non-questions. IIRC, he got banned for being dumb enough to sign up on the SPAM site under his FReeper handle and encourage West's vendetta against FR.
I believe one has to provide certain info to sign up at the Examiner site, and I think West is behind the whole thing..it gives him a method to hit back at FR and also gives him hits to his article. He is one sick puppy, and does more harm to mormonism in a day than the Inmans do in a week!
I’ve had run-ins with non-sequiter on the crevo threads.
LOL...well if you want to keep up with the mormons, three is about right...but one has to have a join-up date of less than 2002.
Seriously, I have found that one ID is adequate.
