Wisconsin authorities say former talk show host and medical marijuana activist Montel Williams has been cited for possession of drug paraphernalia at General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee.
The Milwaukee County sheriff's office says the Transportation Security Administration found Williams had a pipe commonly used for marijuana as he passed through a security checkpoint Tuesday.

I’m not an expert on crack pipes, but I suppose you can tell the difference.

Paraphernalia could be a cored out apple. That’s how lots of folks used to smoke pot back in the day. It seems that almost anything could be defined as paraphernalia.

Stupid TSA!!! It’s widely published the guy has MS and uses marijuana...so they made themselves some money by hasseling a sick guy. Of course if he had bottles of Rx pain pills that’d be legal...probably wouldn’t help his pain much, but legal.

Still, it seems a little careless if not downright bone-headed to try and walk through security with a pot pipe.
It makes me wonder if he did it on purpose to push his Medical Marijuana agenda. This might be the beginning of a test case.
Is it a state thing? I’ve seen that stuff in legitimate tobacco and novelty shops.
I guess if it was a state that didn’t have legal use for medical purposes, and the pipe has residue in it, it’s illegal. They probably have a lot of people try to use that as an excuse.

I think it has to have a legitimate alternate use. They advertise grow lamps in the backs of magazines for ‘indoor gardening’. They sell crack pipes in the gas station, with paper flowers in them, as ‘decorations’. You take the flower out, it becomes a crack pipe. Kind of a silly back and forth.
Montel has Multiple Sclerosis. He’ll beat the rap on this one.
