That baffled me 14 years ago and it baffles me to this day. The former freaking Director of the CIA is found dead after going missing for nine days and the story is that he was alone, paddling a row boat one night in the middle of nowhere and he just died accidentally somehow?... And the big time "mainstream" newsrooms have no curiosity about this at all??
Whew... I didn't fall of the turnip truck yesterday.
This is one of the stinkiest, smelliest stories I ever heard of.
Am not sure which story you are referencing. The 'garbage truck' . . .or 'the canoe' albeit, whichever the case, agree. Re Colby: despite 'powers that be' find this story, 'still' amazing. . .and do not think family naive in their grief; just smart; and do not think wife forgot about that phone bill. . .
As for the tragedy and yes, 'stinky story' of Wheeler; there are so many weird possibilities. We do know, with certainty; no matter the how/why, this scenario played out a horrible day with irretrievable consequences.
(Am even wondering about the 'incendiary devices/neighbor story' all too weird as well and wondering 'where and by 'whom' did this idea get legs - if it has ANY of course; and could this be part of larger story to discredit; by whatever MO here.)
Lawyers have family mum on issue; and so, no explanations yet. (Was his wife a part of this? Did Wheeler ever suffer war flashbacks? Might he have had the beginings of paranoia, i.e. reenacting a Vietnam MO in response to this stress of neighbors house? Was this a typical response to neighbors he disagreed with?
Am more inclined to think scuffle with perps brought this on; but who knows? Have yet to read, when wife/family last saw him during Christmas and just may have missed this. But whatever, many questions here! There are of course, the many death events/circumstances that are odorous to the max; the truth of which we will know or know truth, with certainty. And no matter the conclusions offered; because of who this victim was; doubt there will be 'certainty'.
