When John Boehner takes over one of the most powerful jobs in Washington this week, he says his first order of business is to make himself less powerful.
On Wednesday the new speaker of the House of Representatives plans to offer a package of rule changes that, he says, will give minority-party members more of a say and decentralize power. In short, Ohio Republican Mr. Boehner is promising he'll be a different figure from many speakers throughout history—from Republican Joseph Cannon a century ago to his immediate predecessor, Democrat Nancy Pelosi—who kept a tighter leash.
But there's a reason so many speakers try to keep close control: It works.

I clicked your link to email asshat Boehner. First, I get this blurb overlaying the contact page asking me to sign up for email alerts from Boehner, and there’s no way to just close the window. I finally got it closed. Next thing is the Boehner contact page. If you’re not in his district, you click to contact him in his capacity as Speaker. So I click that........and it goes to a contact page for Cantor.
God, I am so sick of this sh!t.

Instead of throwing up why don't you read the article and try to think for yourself.
D1 my only guess is he was given a “Tall Glass of Stupid” and then he decided to drink the whole freaking pitcher at “W's New Tone Bar and Grill”. And we know how well that worked out.
I mean WTF!!! He is not going to be able to make the changes needed to repeal socialist legislature by giving our opponents the tools to derail them.
Once again for the IDIOTS in the GOP it is NOT about being liked by the MSM, Democrats, or socialites at D.C. parties. No one cares how many followers you have on twetter or how many friends you have on facebook. Being famous or popular in pop culture is not what you were elected for and does not mean squat when it comes to running this country and making the hard decisions to insure that the USA stays the land of liberty, freedom, and the home of the brave. Being popular on the hill will get you nowhere but out power because you new found friends,the democrats, will work tirelessly to make sure you are put out of power.
You were elected by the Tea Party to “STOP OBAMA & CO.(that is the Democrats for those in Rio Linda and the GOP Establishment) from socializing America into a third world dictatorship.
House Democrats have already gone on record as to how the minority party should be treated. They should expect nothing less.
And far too many conservatives will buy the propaganda hook, line and sinker.
Is it because I’m over 50 that I can see the shore ahead and not get focused on every wave that laps the boat?
Why do so many of us get sea sick 50 feet from shore?
