I’m currently reading “With The Old Breed: At Peleliu and Okinawa” by Eugene B. Sledge. And watching the HBO
Mini-Series “The Pacific”, which the producers used Sledges book as source material for.
The thought of O’Mama sliming the Punchbowl makes me want to wretch. The battle scenes in the the mini-series are utterly
horrific.
For the Americans, the Pacific was by far the most vicious war and the toughest on the men.

Funny that you should mention this. I just finished reading ‘Helmet for My Pillow’ by Robert Leckie last night. I am starting ‘With the Old Breed’ tonight. I received both books as Xmas presents. It just continues to amaze me what sacrifices our military men and women have made for this country! For Obama to pretend that he gives a crap about them is an insult to all who have and still wear the uniform.
