I love this guy! I would like to see a Christie/Rubio ticket for 2012!
We need to respond to the media attacks just like this everytime.
America needs to wake up to this hypocracy of the left and put them in their place.
For the liberals who are making a big stink about Christie being absent, those liberals are really saying that managers, supervisors, and employees in the State of New Jersey are incompentent and unable to do anything without being given orders from the governor.
so, what did not get done in NJ because Christie was not sitting in NJ and on the phone, instead of being on the phone from FL?
Did these NJ democrats complain last Christmas when obamas national security advisor handled the underpants terrorist bomber investigation from the ski slopes?

Post 47 (see the posted Christie campaign brochures) tells the anti-gun, anti-2nd Amendment tale about Christie.
This guy IS impressive in many ways, and especially for a NORTHEASTERN-CORRIDOR politician, but his anti-gun stance (yes, I know he just commuted the sentence of a wrongly accused gun owner, but once anti-gun/anti-2A, ALWAYS anti-gun/anti-2A) makes it so NO TRUE CONSERVATIVE should EVER vote to elevate him to NATIONAL office.
Keep him in New Jersey where he can do some good, and NOT have the power to damage our 2nd Amendment rights anymore than they've already been damaged over the years.
If THEY don't trust US with one of our most basic RIGHTS, then THEY should not EVER be voted in by us to national office.
DO NOT TRUST ANY POLITICIAN WHO IS, OR EVER HAS BEEN ANTI-GUN/ANTI-2A... PERIOD.
Sorry but pushing the RINO (Christie) will be a failure.
Thanks for playing the game....and we have a lovely parting gift for you and your liberal/progressive/socialist friends.
Christie may have moderate positions on some issues but he is no “RINO.” He is the most credible conservative out there on the most important conservative issue of the day—cutting government spending and government worker salaries and benefits. He is fighting that fight. I realize some people don’t like his stance on guns (and notice that when ever anyone shows up on a Christie thread with dark warnings about him being a RINO, its always about guns—nothing else).
But those who think Christie is a RINO are going to be very disappointed when a lot of other conservatives vote for him because he is the only credible candidate on spending. Who else is there? And don’t give me some talker—like a Senator or Congressman who talks a good game but was in the Senate or Congress during the Bush/Congressional GOP spending binge. At this point, I’d vote for Christie based on the fact that he’s the best bet to cut the size of federal government.
Opinionated is correct. Christy is weak on the gun control issue. He truly believes he is saving police officers lives. He is wrong of course and I have every faith that he will loosen up on that position. I can’t find another fault with him. I think the economy, jobs and big government are our biggest problems and he is DEAD ON in these issues. He has my vote for sure.
I agree. We must have a candidate who will cut government spending. If Christie’s only flaw is gun rights, then he’s far ahead of our other options.
The “Rino” label gets thrown at everybody, except Palin, by Freepers. “Rino” has become meaningless by overuse.
Sorry, but taking the liberal/socialist position on numerous issues and supporting Mike Castle (a HUGE RINO) during GOP primary is clearly indicative of a RINO.
Christie, Thune, Daniels, Huckster, Romney, et al are just the newest faces of the same-ol, same-ol RINOs that gave us Dole, Bush1, Bush2, Mccain, etc.
No More RINOS!
Nothing else?
You speak as if our 2nd Amendment rights are a trivial matter.
O.K.
What if your boy Christie was against free speech for all but the police, military, and the elites in our political and judicial system (himself included, I'm sure)?
Would the fact that he would not stand behind the First Amendment 100% soften your zeal for him?
A TRUE CONSERVATIVE is one who is CONSERVATIVE on ALL counts, not just FISCAL, or defense issues, etc.
We see where you stand, and it is on the WRONG side.
NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m personally 100% pro-gun rights. I don’t like Christie’s stance, although I don’t think its as bad as some people make it out to be.
The words “crossroads” and “going over a cliff” are overused in a political context but they are applicable today. We are in a crisis. Government spending, entitlements, government worker benefits are completely out of control. We are going to decline as a nation if we don’t get them under control. Sadly, that is due in part to the Bush/GOP Congress of the early 2000s that could care less about spending restraint. They set the stage for Obama’s spending insanity. I am conservative on every single issue you could name but I am very worried about the size of government. If you have someone who is credible on cutting government and has proven effective on taking on the Dems and government workers, that is a huge, huge plus in my book and outweighs other things.
What makes him a RINO? I guess I don’t know enough about him. I see some have written him off because of his supposed anti gun.
We need people in office who will cut spending and bring fiscal sanity to the country.
Who would you propose?
So we dump him from the national scene because of one position?
maybe we can change his position on gun control.
This ideaology is too restrictive!
YES, A THOUSAND TIMES YES.
maybe we can change his position on gun control.
ONCE AN ANTI-GUN/ANTI-2ND AMENDMENT BELIEVER, ALWAYS A BELIEVER.
This ideaology is too restrictive!
AT THIS POINT IN OUR HISTORY, OUR REPUBLIC'S SURVIVAL DEPENDS ON HOW VIGILANT AND DEMANDING WE ARE IN THE SELECTION OF OUR LEADERS.
That "one position" happens to concern the SECOND amendment of our 10 amendment BILL of RIGHTS.
No small matter to say the least.
If a politician can not be trusted by his masters, we citizens, to revere and protect our most BASIC rights, ALL OF THEM, then he/she can not be trusted with power, ESPECIALLY at the national level... PERIOD.
WAKE UP.
It is "settling" for lesser "leaders" of questionable judgment and integrity, and "flexible" principles and convictions that have gotten us to where we are today - a sad state of affairs.
DO NOT SETTLE for a person that does not VIGOROUSLY support and defend ALL of our most basic rights and freedoms - like those that are enumerated in our Bill of Rights.
I'll hold my condemnation when he attempts to hurt my 2nd amendment rights.
I agree I want the people who think just like me, but everyone doesn't and it will be hard to build a party when everyone is not exactly alike.
We'll see how it goes.
