With the holiday season upon us and 2011 fast approaching, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is encouraging all Americans to make emergency preparedness one of their New Year's resolutions for the coming year.
Throughout the rest of December, FEMA will promote Resolve to be Ready in 2011, a nationwide effort to urge individuals, families, businesses and communities to focus on being ready and aware of all the hazards that exist in their communities.
Thomas Horn, CEO of www.SurvivorMall.com supports FEMA's national readiness effort.
Horn, a semi-retired minister considers himself a reasonable man with a well-balanced outlook on the future.

ChocChipCookie PING!!!!
I bet he does!
An EMP followed by anarchy?
or-
mobs of entitlement people, cut off from the teat?
I agree...
more so the start of the
“Tell on your freinds and neighbors” campagn
Every up and coming dictatorship always used their food distribution division to start the campagn by the community to tell on others, for whatever reason, hording food, supplies, firearms, bad thoughts, saying things against the government......
From the Brown Shirts then the Black Shirts, to the military dictatorship, all in the name of social assistance and being aware!!!!
Why is FEMA preparing for Emergency situations... what do they know that we will find out soon enough...
Socialist Government Power Grab.... already here...
New “wizz bang” drama that allows the current CIC to take control of the country for our own sakes, thus cementing his power till he passes on..... even the Vagas bookies will not give you negative odds on that one
JMHO

BATFE has all the firearms, ammo and magazine production/sales info.
Maybe they think some of us are a little too prepared.
1) always buy firearms and ammo and spares in cash in person
2) remember not to take any of the above out fishing with you if they were purchased under ffl or by credit card as the odds of them being lost in a terrible boating accident are oh so high.
3) always remember when the SHTF comes, you best have toilet paper and asprin in that kit, or the wife/girlfriend/family is going to make you pay for it till doomsday.
;)

There’s a reason there are so many zombie shows and movies out lately! ;)
Preparedness/Survival ping!
Anyone mixing FEMA and their personal preps is doomed.
Hello, I am from the government and am here to help you.
“Seems FEMA is really starting to push this agenda....”
Has anyone else noticed the sudden onset of television commercials for ‘readiness’ and the gov. website?
That is EXACTLY what I thought.
INDEED.
Yes, and it inspired me to rethink my basic "bailout bag". Here it is, in the "before" configuration:
After considering all the government had to say, I realized what I had to add to the kit:
Maxpedition Bags are by far the best. Yes they are expensive, but well worth it.
I personally have the Centurion as my SHTF bag and it holds EVERYTHING.
I have the Operator at the office and Versipac Jumbo for knocking around.
I love their products and its well worth the added costs.
Thanks for the ping!
