I find it amazing that many of those conservatives who today revere Reagan would have eagerly joined in with those attacking Ronald Reagan had they been around in 1976.
Imagine had Rove come out strongly in support of O’Donnell, rallying Republicans and bringing out a good turnout in Delaware for O’Donnell.
She wins, and was the deciding vote blocking several key bits of legislation during the “lame duck” session.
But no. Instead, we got the unprincipled maroon out there in front of every camera he could find the next day, COMPLAINING about O’Donnell while she was firing up the base and receiving huge grass-roots donations - like nothing we’ve seen in the last decade.
Which of course, is why the left is still after her.
Because they (correctly) see her as remaining an election threat.
Meanwhile, the left got everything they wanted through that lame duck session.
