Everybody better get used to hearing from this fool. He’s become the media’s symbol of God-fearing Reagan conservatives disposed of by the eeeeeeeevvviiillll reactionist Tea Party. For just one example, I listen to about an hour of NPR a week and over the course of this past year I’ve heard interviews with this twit four or five times.
Of course, he’s no Reagan conservative and his idea of following God is to turn off his brain the second anyone wearing a lab coat says “climate change” so he can feel good about being a steward of the planet by passing a cap and trade bill. What would Jesus do? Leave the poor shivering in the dark for Mother Nature, apparently.
He’s still in the Denial step of grief over his lost seat.
As someone who’s still working through grief, I now understand that the steps don’t always line up 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Sometimes you skip a step, sometimes you jump back a step, sometimes you’re working through more than one step at a time.
Inglis is an example of the sort of moron we have in government these days who believes that saying “we can do better than this” is deep pessimism.
Great post and a big amen to it!
1. Oh, a guy who wants government to own the means of production (see GM, Chrysler) isn't a socialist. Sure, gotcha.
2. Born in Hawaii? I think he was, too. But your objection is just a silly strawman. The Tea Party is not about birtherism, it's about power to the people.
3. "I don't call him a Muslim"...another strawman. Mr. Inglis, if you think you lost an election because you didn't call Barack Obama a foreign born Muslim, you are an even bigger moron than I thought you were. If you don't think that and say this stuff anyway, you're a pathetic, lying weasel.
4. If you want to see the death panels, sparky, look at the UK. They're called NICE and they're withholding painkillers and lifesaving meds from patients with a low "quality years" payoff as we speak.
Inglis is either a lying snake or blind as a bat and dumb as an ox, and he thinks the hope of conservatism is for all of us to elect guys just like him. Yeah...NO SALE.
Yeah, this twit either believes, or wants us to believe, that if he had just given some stump speeches saying, “I agreed with our socialist, foreign-born Muslim president when he voted against the troop surge in 2007, and I agreed with him that setting up a cap-and-trade system and halting offshore drilling was essential to save the Earth, but I do want to make sure you understand that the guy was a socialist foreign-born Muslim” he would have been re-elected easily.
If he’s trying to make us believe it, he’s a liar.
If he really believes it, he’s so dumb he should be kept away from sharp objects and complicated machinery.
In all seriousness, he should ask to replace Kathleen Parker on that show she hosts with Eliot Spitzer.
Bingo.
Statewide vs. a district, for one thing.
Graham didn’t run in 2010, for another.
Ha! Very good.
How pitiful. He goes out with throwing daggers at conservatives and not the ‘rats proving how right the voters were. Another example of what’s in the heart comes out of their mouths. Good job to the Tea Party and the voters.
It could happen even if he doesn’t ask, because clearly the MSM lurks here on FR. :’)
Ahem:
"Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors, which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?"--Ronald Reagan, speech to CPAC, March, 1975.
If, like you, we had chosen the former in 1975, we would have gotten 8 years of Carter, no President Reagan and either two ineffective parties opposing the Dems or a GOP with the country club firmly in charge for a generation or more because the conservatives had to come crawling backl after a crushing defeat. Instead, we chose the latter, took our party back, won the Cold War and revitialized our economy in a way not seen since WWII.
I stand with Reagan. You want to stand with Perot, that's in your wheelhouse.
1. Criticizing Obama (indeed, being anyhting but his cuddly little pet) is hatred, rether than criticism.
2. Saying "this is wrong now, but we can make it much better" is deep pessimism.
Thanks!
Leftists hate both conservative and “moderate” republicans. Because they hate GWB, for example, they assume that conservatives love him, and just can’t understand it when conservatives oppose policies that GWB supported at one time or another (ethanol, amnesty, Bush campaign promises about CO2).
Buh Bye Dem in disguise and don’t let the door hit you in the a$$. There was a reason he wasn’t re-elected.
And Inglis accurately described the reason when he himself said:
"I don't call him a socialist because he's not," he said. "I don't doubt that he was born in Hawaii because he was. I don't call him a Muslim because he says he's a Christian. And I didn't say anything about death panels because there weren't any in that health care bill."
I’m in the denile stage.
Thanks for the words of support, but there’s a reason why you’re an out-going GOP congressman.
