If the EPA is going to try and destroy the economies of our productive states, then when the new Congress convenes in a few days they should be right up there at the top of the list for defunding. And we should lean hard on our new representatives to do this.

If by defunding you mean a 10% increase in funding, then you're right. That's what congress will do. We naively and foolishly place stock in defunding all of these malignant bureaucracies, but when has any part of the government ever shrunk at all? Sorry, there will be no defunding. Congress will waste our time with hearings and then pass huge new budgets that only increase funding for anything and everything, and maybe give us new bureaucracies to boot.

I'll believe it when I see it, but I don't believe congress has the cojones for a budget fight with Obama, nor for bad press from the New York Times when they are accused of harming the environment (and women, minorities, and old people). But, I could be completely wrong. Maybe the Tea Party does have cojones.
