Where’s the barf alert? “. . .twisted contempt for the President”??? Please! How about the other side’s twisted contempt for the Constitution?
Quite frankly, I’ll be happy to acknowledge that Obama was born in Hawaii once it’s documented. But I find the veil of secrecy over not only his birth certificate, but all sorts of documents we’ve seen from other recent Presidents—college transcripts, school records, health records and the like—very disturbing.
And, it would be very good for the rule of law and the restoration of Constitutional order for SCOTUS to rule on whether “natural born citizen” in the context of the requirements for POTUS is to be understood in light of Vattel or in light of Blackstone. If the former, bounce the usurper out of office, if the latter, well Abercrombie better be right about the location on the birth certificate, or the same course of action follows. The precedents you cite in other contexts suggest application of stare decisis would yield a ruling for Vattel’s definition.

There is no doubt that there are at least 5 votes against BO on the Natural Born Citizen issue on SCOTUS presently. I could even envision Justice Ginsberg voting against BO, but she is in poor health, so a case needs to be brought before SCOTUS immediately on a Motion for Original Jurisdiction.
