If they really want to paint the birthers as fringe kooks, then RELEASE THE LONG-FORM BIRTH CERTIFICATE TO PUBLIC INSPECTION.

If they do so and it passes scrutiny, then the issue is done.

I’m curious to see how Obama handles the Missouri law requiring proof of eligiblity to be placed on the state ballot as a candidate for POTUS. He cannot win re-election without Missouri.

I’d like to see Ohio, Florida and Texas pass similar laws before 2012.

I'm not so sure the left wants the long form birth certificate issue to go away. Notice, the people of prominence speaking about the issue recently have been very much men of the left (Chris Mathews and Gov. Abercrombie).

It's become an effective means of rallying Obamiacs and if the BC is revealed and contains any "moderately to somewhat" embarrassing information, the longer this is drawn out the more it could help him play the victim card (i.e. My mom was a young unwed mother and I was trying to protect her reputation...)

The left wants to use this issue to create total chaos and unite the base into a violent mob.

One right after another is going to start making the claim that if you aren’t white, the “TEABAGGERS” don’t think you are a citizen.

They will use this and the defeat of the Dream Act as “PROOF” the “TEABAGGERS” only want a nation of white people.

There’s your glue to unite the blacks and “ILLEGALS” which they haven’t been able to do before.
