A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck north-central Indiana on Thursday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake struck just before 8 a.m. ET and was three miles deep, according to the USGS. The epicenter was located about 15 miles east-southeast of Kokomo, 15 miles west-southwest from Marion and 50 miles north of Indianapolis.

I felt it here in Ohio. It was raining at the time and I could hear the noise of the rain hitting the skylight. I felt the apartment move and shake and a bit of a noise like a roaring wind so I thought a wind squall had blown through.
Lasted only about 4 seconds.
Earthquake shakes Miami Valley; many report feeling tremor
DAYTON The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting a 4.2 magnitude earthquake Thursday near Kokomo, Ind.
The earthquake, which was five miles southeast of Greentown, Ind., occurred about 7:55 a.m.
Some Miami Valley residents in the counties of Montgomery, Greene, Miami, Warren and Darke have reported that they felt the ground shake Thursday morning.

I’m in Marion and our solid concrete office building shook, pictures rattled, and we thought a truck had hit the building because there was a booming sound. Weird.
My body refuses to acknowledge anything below a 5.0 quake. I lived in California for 30 years and now live in Indiana.
