They should all be fired and the city should contract the work out to several companies (non-union). Get the private sector competing for the contracts and watch things improve.

Disgusting, but how sorry can you feel for NYers? They elect these beholden-to-the-union idiot politicians. Bloomberg is probably the biggest RINO out there. If you expect him to go after the union think again. Just like here in MA, the voters will return these same idiot politicians for more punishment.

If I were a relative of one of the people who died because of the slow emergency response, I would be tempted to track these union bosses down and introduce them to Hell.
Weren’t their actions a violation of the contract, thereby voiding said contract?
