Both of them were elected in 1976, so theyve been in the U.S. Senate long enough WAY TOO LONG, about 26 years too long. TERM LIMITS NEEDED!

Because you idiots would rather have your dicks cut off with dignity than vote for anyone other than someone who meets your level of conservative purity.
Politics is the art of the possible, but you and your ilk are so unbending that you let the RATS manipulate you at every turn.

There’s a difference between voting in the general and getting good candidates to win a primary. I often hold my nose in the general election and vote R even if the candidate literally makes me sick. McVain in 2008 and FioRINO in 2010 are examples of this.
Who would you rather see win a primary... a true blue conservative or an almost-Dimocrat milquetoast traitor?

Politics is local. Maybe we could get better than Snowe/Collins in Maine. If Paul LePage does a good job as governor, maybe he'll take a demotion to the senate after term limits.
We need to take the best that we can get while winning (so we get committee votes to control agenda). What's the best depends on each state. In Maine, so far it's Collins. In Massachusetts, it's Browne. Whoever wins there needs a ton of independent voters.

All that is a good start. In addition, let’s not get taken in again by the likes of Mike Huckabee, a RINO in a pretty darn good disquise. The times demand that we be extra careful in our choices.

I whole-heartedly agree! To my mind, some of the old guard Republicans are more dangerous than the most Liberal Democrat because you never know when they’re going to turn or upon whom. Carl Rove was one of the first to trash Christine O’Donnell. She might have made a much better showing if not for being attacked by one of her own.
As for Charles Krauthammer, consider his origins in the political world. “A dog will return to its vomit” every time.

I’m not sure when Kennedy’s term (that Brown won the special election to complete) would have been up. He wasn’t on the November ballot in 2010, so that means he would be up for reelection in 2012 or 2014.

I agree for the most part because I think Brown is the best we can do in Mass.
As for Snowe? I'd be willing to risk finding out if we can do better. She's been there for awhile.

So be it. There is no chance of getting a conservative elected if a RINO is holding the seat... Yeah...that's the only thing standing in the way of electing a true conservative to the Senate in Mass...(rolls eyes)

Wow...the ignorance of some posters is amazing.
Let me help...Senators are elected for a six year term.
Snowe is up for re-election in 2012, which this article addresses. Collins is not up until 2014, and Murkowski was just re-elected...will not be up again until 2016.
Knowing these subtle facts helps greatly when discussing political strategy.

Re #21: “Did anybody think (Brown)d be another Jim DeMint?”
I sure didn’t! I’m a TEA supporter of his, and am I disappointed; Yeah; a little.
Surprised? Heck no! This is, after all, the Peeplez Republik of Assachussetts. With Bawney and Kerry easily winning re election, I opine that Brown is probably more than could be reasonably expected out of that socialist bastion. Like our two Bobsey Twins from Maine; every now and then they get one right... rarely, but every now and then.
