I think in my state of Alaska if and when a state of emergency was declared we all have to be armed and dangerous.

Indiana was smart enough to include a change in a gun law that was passed last July that denies the government the right to suspend gun rights in situations like this.

Indeed, and "those that wish harm" can often be employees of the government who seem to share some sort of diplomatic immunity in such cases. A person should protect themselves against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
