Is there any rim fire ammo these days other than .22 cal.? I don't recall ever seeing any other and I've been shooting since the early 1950’s. I've been away from any range time for a long time now and since I live in a pretty urban area there's really no place to plink tin cans or clothes pins on a barbed wire fence.

I have a nice weapon and really do need to go by a range and have someone go through the process with me and get me back into keeping some skills. I could fire the weapon if I had to, but I doubt it would do much more than piss off the assailant and scare the bystanders. And of course probably get me arrested.
