Yeah I think she was Italian like that Dante guy with his Inferno book. These people really created hell for themselves and many others including the doctors and their families that the Edwards (plural) destroyed and looted. There may be some karma going on here.

Italian women can be very vindictive and don’t forget the evil eye. I bet she put the evil eye on John Edwards - poor bastard.

I went to supposedly the more cultured and genteel northern Italy with the superstitions, fears of the befana, etc.

I went to an old villa estate on a hill in the late afternoon. It was sort of creepy. You could have filmed a vampire movie that late afternoon in the winter.

An old lady came out who was a caretaker. She appeared out of nowhere - it was bizarre. The Italian woman with us almost ran in fear and she turned white. She later kept saying the woman was the befana.

I like it there. I think I would take the chaos of Italy over Hussein/Mugabe’s left wing fascism and the police state media parrots on all of TV. The US is probably far more corrupt than Italy is anymore or more corrupt than Russia.
