[history]
The legendary chupacabra has been spied, shot and killed -- will bigfoot be next?
A man in Kentucky found a strange, hairless creature prowling his front lawn December 18, a critter he believes to be the mythical chupacabra, a beast from Hispanic folklore supposedly known for attacking goats and other livestock (chupacabra means "goat sucker" in Spanish).

Everyone knows the chupacabra is native to Texas, New Mexico, and northern Mexico.
Once upon a time, while felling trees on a mountainside in NM with a rather hispanic crew, we heard some horrible, gawd-awful animal sound in the near distance (probably a love-sick elk, upon reflection). We all stopped what we were doing and looked around at each other...
I said one word. "Chupacabra". Everybody laughed and we got back to work. But there were lots of nervous glances over shoulders.
Living myths are fun to mess with, when dealing with a backwards population.

Given the current state of the economy. I see lots of dead squirrels (and biscuits and gravy). That isn't one. They don't have canines.
