MANATEE, Fla. (AP) A group of unruly teenagers attacked a 27-year-old Marine and his wife who had asked them to be quiet during a Christmas night showing of "Little Fockers."
The attack happened as the couple left the theater near Bradenton Saturday night. Authorities say the fight attracted about 300 bystanders.
Federico Freire, home on leave from Afghanistan, says they left the theater shortly after the teens were asked to leave.
The couple was kicked and punched in the parking lot before a gun-brandishing witness told the crowd to step back just before deputies arrived.

It appears to me that there are a number of people these days who are under the illusion that they are the only *real* beings that exist and the rest of us are just some sort of holograms that are here as props to make there experience more lifelike. We are just bit players in the movie of their life.

If the movie theater tosses out 300 patrons who go there to watch the fights, their boxoffice receipts are going to really down in the coming months.

One of those situations you sort of run over in your own mind to evaluate what your potential response(s) would be.

Real punishment? People have been thrown in jail for years now....for rape and murder..etc. And nothing has changed.... Can you suggest another punishment? I wrote REAL punishment, so that isn't jail or prison. I say go back to the stocks, whippings, hard labor and public hangings. REAL punishment.

For the uninitiated, GITBUCK is the systemic and deliberate chaotic breakdown of social norms and behavior primarily exercised by minorities. It is a derivative of the "by any means necessary" mantra of the pepetuators of "social justice". Their attitude is that is is okay to break laws to illustrate the bigger point. Today, these young punks take the concept to whole new levels - gang beatings, bum rush attacks, violent intimidation, etc. We saw it during the Rodney King riots too.
Pulling people out of vehicles and attacking them with bricks. A hispanic man was beaten, and on camera had his pants pulled down and his genitals spray painted black.
When social order breaks down, "do as thou will" becomes the law of the land and it is a very Satanic philosophy.

This area is about 25 miles north of my locale. Not an area I frequent.
When I do, I go armed, for reasons that this story doesn't mention, but makes quite apparent.
This area is not far from where another serviceman was killed a year or so ago; can't recall the exact details.

“The victims of this attack were lucky an armed bystander came forward to assist them. “
BINGO.
What do you expect from the kinid of people who would go see a Babs Streisand movie.
I think the Marine and his date should sue Ms. Babs for starring in a movie which induced violence in American “youths” resulting in personal injury.
If I were an attorney I’d LOVE to take a case like that, but then I’m just a zealous conservative idealist.

We did go see Amazing Grace at the theater because for some reason my husband was of work and there was no one else in the theater. And we saw the 2 3D films at the IMax last year because, well you have to. But for other things no way. I can wait. If someone else wants to, that’s fine with me, heck, it keeps the economy perking, but I’m just not willing to pay ticket prices to get irritated by the way so many people act. Plus, of course, it’s annoying to pay money for most of what passes for movies now anyway. If I watch them on TV and they are stupid junk, all I wasted was my time.

I cannot understand why people will pay good cash money to go to a movie then act like total @$$es and prevent others from enjoying it. At 15 years old, the money likely came from a parent.

As I pointed out, the names of the minors who hit the cops in the arm were charged with felonies (and their names were released) while the thugs who punched a woman in the face knocking her out were charged with misdomeanor assault.
Weak charges perpetuate such crimes. They aren’t being adequately punished because they aren’t even being adequately charged. They will probably cop a plea bargain on the misdomeanor charge. May not even stay on their records.
